NEW YORK — New York's Metro-North Railroad has temporarily suspended service on three Lines due to a power problem with its computer system.
A Metro-North spokeswoman says Hudson, Harlem and New Haven line trains were stopped Thursday night for safety purposes. She says electricians are working to hook up temporary power to the computer system. It unclear how many trains are involved.
Metro-North is the nation's second-busiest railroad and serves 281,000 riders a day in New York and Connecticut. The railroad has experienced a spate of problems this year, including a train derailment in the Bronx that killed four passengers and injured dozens of others.
