Clinton sat down with small business owners during a visit to a family–owned fruit company near Des Moines on her second day of campaigning in Iowa. She says she wants to build the economy, strengthen families and fix the political system.
Clinton is hoping for a better finish in the Iowa caucuses than her last run in 2008, when she finished third among Democrats.
Reaction so far is mixed.
"She would be my choice. She just has what it takes to run this country," said Iowa Resident Jill Harris.
But fellow resident Richard Nation disagrees, "She's so ill–advised and deceitful and dishonest. I think it would be bad news."
Clinton's campaign says she'll return to Iowa for more campaign events after launching her nationwide campaign next month.
