Bruce Jenner has finally revealed his true gender identity as a woman — but he would't reveal his new name.
He told Diane Sawyer during his hotly anticipated interview on ABC's "20/20" Friday night that he has chosen a different name for himself, but wants to keep it private for as long as possible.
"If I do (reveal the name), the media will go crazy and I'll never get rid of them," he said.
He only joked that his name won't start with a "K," to help him step out of the Kardashian family shadow.
BRUCE JENNER DECLARES 'I AM A WOMAN' DURING DIANE SAWYER INTERVIEW
The former Olympian ended years of speculation by confirming in the interview that he identifies as a woman. But some of his revelations subverted how many people expected he would handle his long-kept secret.
Jenner told Sawyer he hasn't made a decision on whether he'll have sexual reassignment surgery, despite his increasingly feminine appearance and being spotted stepping out in women's clothes.
The 65-year-old said friends and media should still use "he" when referring to him, even with his female identity.
He also amused and confused Sawyer by dodging a solid answer about whether he identifies as gay or straight, telling her near the end of the interview he considers himself "asexual, for now."
When Sawyer asked what Jenner was saying goodbye to with this interview, he said he was finally ditching the public's perception of him, but "not saying goodbye to me."
