FedEx Shooting Results in Multiple Injuries - ABC News

A workplace shooting at a FedEx warehouse in Georgia has resulted in multiple injuries, officials said today.


The shooting occurred at a warehouse 1675 Airport Road, Kennesaw, near the Cobb County Airport.


Cobb County Police spokeswoman Dana Pierce confirmed there is active and ongoing incident.


"The area around the building has been secured and the officers are now clearing the incident location. This is still an active and fluid situation," Officer Michael Bowman said.


Six injured were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, ABC News affiliate WSB-TV reported. Their conditions were not immediately known. Some of the injured are in surgery, hospital spokesman Tyler Pearson told ABC News.


A large number of police cars could be seen outside the facility's fence.


FedEx issued a statement saying, "FedEx is aware of the situation. Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our team members, first responders and others affected. FedEx is cooperating with authorities."
