Three No Longer Employed As Ferguson City Officials Following DOJ Report - WWGP 1050 AM


(FERGUSON, Mo.) — A Ferguson official was fired and two others have resigned in the wake of a Department of Justice report that highlighted a series of inappropriate messages sent by city employees.


According to a spokesman for the city, Court Clerk Mary Ann Twitty was fired following the release of the report, and two other city employees have resigned.


At a Wednesday press conference Ferguson Mayor James Knowles linked three employees to racist emails highlighted in the DOJ report. He said on Wednesday that one person had been terminated and two had been placed on leave as the investigation plays out. Still, on Thursday, Ferguson Police officers Rick Henke and William Mudd resigned.
