Seven Brooklyn children, the youngest five, the oldest 15, were killed as a devastating fire ripped through their Bedford Ave. home early Saturday, officials said.
The 12:23 a.m. blaze tore through the Orthodox Jewish family's home near Ave. L in Midwood officials said.
Neighbors say a mother and her eight children, were trapped in the inferno.
One of the children died at the scene, FDNY officials said. The others died as they were rushed to area hospitals with severe burns. The mother was taken to Jacobi Medical Center and her lone surviving child was taken to Staten Island University Hospital North with serious to critical injuries.
Witnesses say the mother screamed for someone to help rescue her children after she jumped from a window of the three-story home.

"I heard the mother yelling, 'My kids are in there! My kids are in there! Get them out! Get them out!'" Nate Weber, who lives a few doors down from the fire, said.
"The mother was outside. She was burned. She jumped out the window. There's still blood on the floor."
Weber said he knew when the acrid smoke hit his face that the outcome could be grave.
"I was standing in front of the house when the smoke just hit me. I saw the smoke and I knew it was bad news," he said.
"I saw the EMT carrying people on the stretcher. I just turned away. I didn't want to see that."
The fire was rendered under control at about 1:30 a.m.
The FDNY Fire Marshals were just beginning their investigation into what started the blaze early Saturday, an FDNY official said.
