President Barack Obama was at the University of Maryland's Xfinity Center this morning to watch Princeton play its opening game in the NCAA women's basketball tournament.
Obama's niece, Leslie Robinson, is a reserve forward for the undefeated Tigers, and first lady Michelle Obama is a Princeton alum.
The president, wearing a reserved brown sweater in a sea of Princeton Orange, took in the game with his brother-in-law, former Oregon State basketball coach Craig Robinson and his daughter Malia.
Princeton (31-0) beat Green Bay 80-70 to advance to a second-round matchup against No. 1 seed Maryland, a 75-57 winner over New Mexico State today.
Obama caused a small stir among the Maryland faithful earlier in the week when he picked Princeton to beat the Terps in the second round.
Michelle Obama, who attended one of Robinson's games earlier in the season, was in Tokyo at the end of the week and not in the stands Saturday.
