Someone call the Trekkie police on Kirstie Alley.

The former Star Trek actress bid Leonard Nimoy farewell on Sunday in her own fashion, a tweet sealed with a kiss and the wrong name.

She learned of his death two days after the fact and tweeted: “Rest in peace Dr. Spock ... Xxxooo.”

Alley portrayed Saavik in “Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan” before being replaced by another actress.

Fans made sure to point out her tweet paid tribute to the wrong Spock, the celebrity pediatrician known as Benjamin Spock who died in 1988, not the Vulcan who worked his way up from science officer to a Federation ambassador.

Alley did make mention of Dr. Spock in the 1989 movie "Look Who's Talking."

Semantics aside, she defended her post in good fun and said Twitter users had been infected by “cooties.” She also attributed her delay in saying anything about Nimoy’s death to being out of the country.

“I’m sure Mr. Spock had PHD’s in Science... anyway the sentiment is the same,” Alley wrote. “Hard to make gestures on here without Trek police.”

Nimoy’s funeral was held Sunday morning in Los Angeles.
