CPI(M) and CPI on Saturday staged a protest demonstration against the visit of US President Barack Obama to the country.
The demonstration was held here and in Sivaganga.
CPI(M) MLA A Soundararajan, talking to reporters here, alleged that the visit of Obama was only aimed at getting favours for the American corporates by “compromising” the interests of Indian public sector units.
Slogans were raised condemning the US President’s three-day visit starting from Sunday.
