The pressure on Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer to veto the controversial SB 1062 legislation continued to pile on Tuesday, with Newt Gingrich saying he would override the bill.
The former Republican House speaker and CNN host answered his own show’s “Crossfire” question about what he would do in Brewer’s shoes.
The bill, which passed the Arizona Legislature last week, would allow businesses to refuse service to customers based on religious objections, largely considered a measure to let companies turn away gay customers.

Since the bill landed on Brewer’s desk, the pressure has been on her to decide whether to sign the bill, veto it or let it become law with no action in five days.
The bill has faced a growing number of objections from Republicans, including Arizona’s two Republican senators and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.
Brewer has not yet indicated what she will do with the bill, only saying she will “do the right thing.”
