More than eight in 10 Democrats would like to see Hillary Clinton run for president in 2016, according to a new poll.

Eighty-two percent of Democrats want Clinton to run, while 13 percent do not, a CBS News/New York Times poll released Wednesday finds.

Support for Vice President Joe Biden’s presidential campaign is less enthusiastic, with 42 percent of Democrats saying they would like him to run and 39 percent saying they would not.

Across the aisle, Republicans are most excited about former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush running for president, with 41 percent saying yes (and 27 percent saying no). Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul was the second most popular potential candidate, with 39 percent saying they would like to seem him run (and 21 percent saying they would not).

The nationwide telephone survey of 1,644 adults was conducted Feb. 19-23 and included 519 Republicans and 515 Democrats, with independents as the remainder. The margin of error for the results from Republicans and Democrats is plus or minus three percentage points.
