A National Weather Service winter storm warning, in effect through noon Monday, calls for heavy snow in Erie and Crawford counties today. Accumulation of 8 inches to 12 inches is possible.
Snow will be heavy at times this afternoon into tonight and is expected to taper off from west to east late tonight and into Monday morning, according to the weather service.
National Weather Service officials said there is some uncertainty in the track of this storm, which will influence where the heaviest snow will fall.
Hazardous travel conditions are expected due to heavy snow accumulations and reduced visibilities.
