WABC News misidentifies Leonard Nimoy as a 'Star Wars' actor

Leonard Nimoy as Mr. Spock in “Star Trek: The Motion Picture”; WABC mistakenly tweeted him as a star of “Star Wars.”

WABC News committed a major sin in the nerd universe when the New York station tweeted and pushed an alert through their mobile app about actor Leonard Nimoy’s death on Friday. “Breaking news: Legendary ‘Star Wars’ actor Leonard Nimoy passes away at age 83,” they tweeted, misidentifying Nimoy’s career-making role as Spock on “Star Trek.”

UNABASHED BASH

Congrats to Brandsway Creative which celebrated half a decade of bringing celebs and their fans together on Friday night. The PR firm, headed by Kelly Brady, which works with models including Jessica White, Jessica Hart and Nicole Trunfio, threw their anniversary bash at Webster Hall where Warner Bros. band Echosmith performed and DJ Hesta Prynn provided the late night entertainment.

WORLD IS TURNING FOR BRODY
