A 13-year-old boy had an emotional reunion with his mother after police in Georgia say he was found hidden in a secret compartment inside his father's garage.
Clayton County police arrested the boy's father, Gregory Jean, his girlfriend Samantha Davis and three juveniles after finding the boy on Saturday.
"I just couldn't believe it," said Daniel Clay with the Clayton County Police Department. "We found him."
The boy was found after he sent a text message from a secret smartphone app to his mother, police said.
"We came here to the home and were able to get inside the home, talk to the people inside," Clayton County Police Sgt. Joanna Southerland told ABC News.
But police left the home empty handed. The boy then sent a second message saying exactly where he was hidden.
Police found the boy tucked away behind a fake wall - concealed behind a linen closet - within an insulation area above the garage.
"We opened the compartment where he was," Southerland said "I saw him and asked him to come forward and he was horrified. He was frozen with fear."
The boy was reunited with his mother amid hugs and tears of overwhelming joy.
"He just kept saying, 'Thank you, thank you, thank you,'" said Clay.
