British PM David Cameron makes light of jogger encounter - Zee News

London: After a jogger ran into the British PM in an accidental security breach, David Cameron appeared taking the incident in good humour, laughing off the encounter which sent his security team into a tizzy for a while.

The incident, which is under police review now, took place outside Civic Hall in Leeds, as PM Cameron left the hall after a meeting there.

While speaking in the House of Commons, Cameron expressed gratitude towards his protection teams saying, "Could I put on the record for once the debt I owe to the close protection teams that look after me and the very good job that they do."

Cameron also joked about the encounter saying, "I was speaking to a group of city leaders... John Prescott was in the room. As I left I the room I thought the moment of maximum danger had probably passed. Clearly that wasn't the case."

John Prescott is a former Deputy Prime Minister, who in 2010 punched a protester who egged him, according to a Daily Mail report.

The jogger in question who was first detained and later released has been identified as Dean Balboa Farley.

Farley said that he was on his way to meet his personal gym trainer when he suddenly collided into PM Cameron and his bodyguards.

The PM was quickly driven away from the scene after the breach. However, the police later clarified that there was no threat involved and it was just a case of a man being at “the wrong place at the wrong time".
