Emergency crews are responding to a serious accident at the Pumpkin Land theme park in Mechanic Falls, Maine Saturday night, a tractor pulling a hayride carrying about twenty passengers reportedly jack-knifed and flipped over.
The accident injuried 23 people, several of them seriously, authorities said.
Local news station WMTW reports that at least two helicopters have been called in to Harvest Hill Farm, which runs the autumn-themed park each year.

One witness reported a heavy response from fire and medical personnel:
Another witness said he was waiting in line for the ride when a police car suddenly approached.
“After a minute or two security officers came down the line, asking us all to go back up to the ticket booth for a refund,” Ryan Chaney told Boston.com via instant message.
