Obama to Visit Arkansas to See Tornado Destruction - WTMA

(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) -- President Obama will visit Arkansas on Wednesday to see the damage caused by last week's tornado that killed 16.

Obama and Sen. Mark Pryor will meet with families and first responders, the Washington Post reports. Pryor, a Democratic Senator, said that disaster-relief funds are helpful, but "there's more we can do to give Arkansans the help they need."

Deputy Public Information Officer Brandon Morris said one trail of storm destruction stretches 30 miles.

"Some homes have been completely destroyed, some have severe damage, we have power lines and trees down in those counties as well," Arkansas Department of Emergency Management Deputy Public Information Office Brandon Morris told ABC News.
